The Power of Prayer

Have you ever thought how powerful your prayer is?

When you pray, you are talking to God. You can talk out loud or you can talk to him in your mind. He lives within you. Within us!
2 Thessalonians 3:1 – Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.

Remember that God’s time is not our time, so when you pray and ask God for something and if you do not receive it immediately, he will provide it to you when he knows you will need it the most. When you pray, you can open up your heart to God, He is the only one you will ever trust with your full heart.  Matthew21:22 – And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
He is the only one that will ever provide you with what your heart desires. Learn to rely on God in all that you do and pray for.
“You do the possible and God will do the impossible”
When you pray you must have faith. Believe in what you pray. Pray for yourself and for others. Pray for your enemies, and bless them.  1 Thesslonians5:17 – Pray without ceasing.
Pray for the sick and less fortunate.  What you pray for others you will receive seven fold.
James 5:15 – And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Pray for forgiveness, for the truth will set you free.  James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent praying of a righteous availeth much.

Be happy when you pray. Don’t only pray when you are going through a tough time.  Philippians 1:4 – Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy.

Whenever you have a chance to talk to God, you can. He will hear you. He is within you.  Psalm 55:17 – Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Thank God for all your blessings. Take note of your blessings and honor what you have received. Philemon 1:22 – I thank my God, making mention of the always in my prayers.

Have a thanksgiving evening with your family, friends and neighbors once a month and give thanks unto the Lord. Have a prayer group and share your prayers with others.  Share your blessings with the other people around you. Colossians 4:2 – Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

Remember, there is never a wrong prayer. Every pray is a perfect pray to God. God does not judge you. Prayer is powerful, and when you pray have faith in what you pray.
